Mother Nature's Handmaidens and Guardians
Michiru watched the direction of the big sandbox where he knew the ritual his mother, aunt, and grandmother were going to perform was to be held. He had already inflated the two wading pools with air and placed them on the sandbox where his grandmother had instructed he had now idea what the symbols etched in the sand surrounding tho pools meant, but if they could save his daughters, he didn't care. Now his grandmother was in the kitchen mixing some strange herbs in a pot of boiling vinegar with a bit of salt added over the stove.
"Oh, Earth...great motherly womb from which all life is child to..." Michiru's grandmother began. "You, whose earthy flesh grows the vegetation that all animals need to survive so that the ecosystem of life lives on. Miroku in Grave Danger
It was the day for Michiru and Kaname to return to Kagome's house so that they could go back to the Feudal Era. But before they left, Mr. Kururugi summoned his son to his room.
Michiru entered the room and saw his father holding something long covered in a cloth in his hands. He spoke.

"Grandfather's machete." Michiru spoke trying to hand it back. "I-I-I can't take this, it's yours."
Mr. Kururugi then placed both his hands on his son's shoulders and said, "He gave that to me when I became a strong warrior like you when he felt I was ready. Just as his own father, my grandfather, gave it to him long ago before I was even born. It is an heirloom blade that has been passed from Kururugi to Kururugi for

After seeing Kaede safely to Akebi Village, InuYasha and his friends resumed their search for Naraku. Kagome looked over at Miroku sadly knowing that he was closer to death than he ever had been in his life. If he dared use the Wind Tunnel he would die, and if he ever lied again he would die. And since such things were pretty much his everyday life, this would be hard for him to accomplish successfully.
Kagome knew that Michiru's suggestion to not speak for a whole year was a good one, but at the same time she also knew that doing such only prevented verbal dishonesty, but not behavior dishonesty. There were ways he could lie without even speaking like if he refused to respond to a question, or wrote down the wrong words on his new pad which was now his only means of communication, or if he gestured at the wrong thing if a question was asked in relation to it.
That was why Michiru suggested Miroku stay close to the group, because if he was with them virtually twenty-f
